Office Web

The Office Web incorporates the elegant and seamless navigational paradigm of hyperlinks into Office applications. It allows users to author and browse rich webs of documents on the enterprise or on the World Wide Web. Word integrates with the Office architecture and user interface for creating and managing hyperlinks, including a new Web toolbar for navigating through hyperlinked documents.

Hyperlinks

Create a rich document web by inserting hyperlinks in Word documents. All Office applications support hyperlinks – link to any document on your LAN and simply click on the hyperlink to browse through your document web. Word 97 offers simple hyperlink creation:

• AutoHyperlinks - automatic recognition of URL’s and UNC path names
• Insert Hyperlink or Copy/Paste Hyperlink or Right-Drag&Drop
• AutoFormat existing plain text into live hyperlinks
