Word 97—Online

Integration with Outlook

Word integrates with Outlook, the new task and personal information manager included in Office to make managing your documents and work easier:

Event Journalling

You can easily log when you worked on what document by enabling event journalling in Word. Outlook automatically tracks file operations such as save and print in your personal work timeline, making it easy to track completed work.

Create Outlook Tasks

If you are working on a document and want to set up a reminder to review the document later, you can do so easily by creating an Outlook Task from Word. The task gets created with the document attached to it so you can review the document in place when you are reminded of the task by Outlook.

WordMail integration

Just like Word can replace the Exchange email editor, giving you all the great automation and formatting features you are used to in email, so can it seamlessly become your email editor when you use the Outlook mail client.

Mail Merge integration

Outlook’s contact list is available through Word for doing mail merge or simple letter addressing.
