Bullets and Numbering

Word 97 has enhanced its Bullets and Numbering engine so that working with long documents that contain bullets and numbered lists is significantly faster than Word 95. Scrolling, editing and displaying bulleted and numbered lists are some of the areas where you will notice a difference.

No more repagination when switching views

Word now caches more information about pagination for each view. This means that Word no longer has to repaginate the whole document when switching between views, and is smarter about only repaginating when you’ve made changes in the document.

Better Field Calculation

Number of key improvements to field calculation ensure accurate and consistent results:

• Automatic tracking of calculation dependencies – fields updated in proper order.
• Empty and error field calculation consistent with Excel
• Calculate on Exit option to update fields immediately after data entry
