Word 97 has made significant improvements that take advantage of the system and make working with international documents easier.
Word 97 integrates with the Windows 95 shell and gives you additional drag and drop choices via right drag and drop.
You can right drag text within the same document or across documents in Word. When right dragging text within a document, Word lets you move, copy or create a hyperlink to the text. When right dragging across documents, in addition to the copy, move and hyperlink creation options, you can create a shortcut and display it as an icon identical to the shortcut in the Windows 95 shell.
You can right drag a file from the shell or from a file container such as a file open dialog and drop it into Word. If the file being dragged is a Word document, Word lets you copy its contents at the destination point. For a non-Word file, Word lets you create a hyperlink or a shortcut to the dragged file.
